After practicing in his room with the al..Toby Jones was in love with DJing before he’d even torn the plastic cover off his first set of decks aged just 15, and was soon plotting world domination with the help of a four/four beat and fistful of hi-hats. After practicing in his room with the alacrity of an obsessive compulsive, as soon as he was old enough to drive, Toby was loading his Ford Fiesta with his gear and was playing every gig he could get his hands on – putting on discos and parties all over Sussex. As Toby got older and more experienced behind the decks he started to play in local bars and clubs, showcasing the unique style and mixing ability he had honed in his bedroom over the previous couple of years. Last year was Toby's biggest year to date, he was a regular DJ on the Ibiza scene holding down residencies at the famous Ibiza Rocks Hotel where he would play the Wonderland, Hedkandi, Judgement Sundays and Cream pool parties. He could also be found playing each week at Kanya & Play2. 2010 has started off with a bang already, after playing his first gig of the year to a full capacity crowd at Pacha, Toby has now become a regular DJ amongst some of the biggest nights held in London & across the UK including Pacha, Movida, The Driver, The Honey Club, Coalition, Runway & Club 24. Apart from managing to fit in gigs across the country, Toby has now launched his own night in his hometown Brighton. The night 'Play Doh' can be found every Thursday at Kuku Club. Toby has also played alongside some of the biggest names in the industry at present such as Laidback Luke, A-Trak, Judge Jules, Ian Carey, Carl Hanaghan, Arno Cost, Paolo Mojo and Hoxton Whores to name but a few. This Summer will see Toby back in Ibiza with his brand new tracks being released throughout the next few months. Toby’s style straddles the genres of house, electro, techno and progressive, all the while maintaining a groove that is not only funky, but compels those within earshot to jack involuntarily around the dancefloor. He uses all these elements to create a mix which moves the crowd emotionally and physically throughout the night, whilst still creating those peak moments where he spins the crowd into a rapturous frenzy. His confidence, energy and audience interaction literally flies off the decks and across the dance floor to create the most uplifting experience you could ask for.
