- Tomas Hedberg - WonderlandTOMAS HEDBERG (SWE/IBZ) DJ / PRODUCER Biography If there is one DJ/producer that you are destined to hear more about it's TOMAS HEDBERG. Swedish bred Hedberg ventured to the party capital of the world – Ibiza - in 2001 and has since become of the most prominent DJs on the island. Raw, technical and deeply into his music, you could say Tomas is not your average DJ, already been labeled by Pete Tong as the Swedish Nic Fanciulli. As one of the most respected and well known Ibiza DJs, he’s done the rounds at all the super clubs with residencies at Manumission, Eden, El Divino, and guest appearances at the islands highly respected 'Underground', and famous club Space. As a talented International DJ, Hedberg has rocked dancefloors in Zurich having played to 80,000 people in 2 street parades, the USA, Portugal, Turkey, Germany, Egypt, Australia and South Africa- to name a few. So with all this up his sleeve, 2008 brought his deserved residency with Pete Tong @ his sought after Wonderland party in Ibiza. After a massive first year, and proudly placing his name to one of the most played tracks of last Summer ‘The Looking Glass’, Tomas was invited back for round 2. With a sound that is catagorised as a tasteful selection of deep, funk and tech, and a mixing style that has been described as adventurous and creative emulating a warm darkness, Hedberg never fails to please a crowd. He’s got his head down in productions, and has already showcased his talent across some of the dance worlds most respected labels including Rebirth Rec, Phonetic Rec, Pacha Rec, Flow Vinyl, Wolf Music and Pieces of Eight Rec. 09 saw the release of highly charted, Jo Mills collaborated track, Serious Muzik (also being featured on the new Ibiza flick ‘The Beat Goes On’)... And Thugz and Show Business that came with remixes from man of the minute Guy J and Buzzin Fly star Chris Woodward. But versatility is one thing that sets Tomas apart from the rest of the pack. Each production he puts his mind too comes with its own piece of magic. His association with Pacha Recordings is tight having remixed some of their biggest tracks including Carl Kennedy’s Ride the Storm, Bob Marley vs. Richard Grey’s No Deputy and recently the Pacha Live compilation he co-produced and remixed with production partner, Pacha resident, Tucillo. Wrapping up the Ibiza 09 Summer Tomas took out the highly acclaimed ‘Best Ibiza DJ Award’ that was decided by the biggest panel of experts- the clubbers. And with supporters such as Pete Tong calling Tomas ‘ One of the brightest discoveries of my Summer and purveyor of hot tunes as well’ and Nic Fanciulli saying‘ 'Tomas is one of the brightest new stars in the house scene’ … big things are destined.
