- Originally from Eugene Oregon, Triangle Man emerged out of the North West underground scene in the late 90s. He has maintained a heavily UK inspired style that blends: Garage, 2-Step, Tech House, Bass and Future Garage into dynamic multi-genre sets. Fo..Rewind and you will find he has been DJing in the North West electronic dance community since 1999. Triangle Man was one of the last members of his crew to convert to digital in 07 and maintained an appreciation for true vinyl DJ's and their mixing style. Frequent trips to Chicago to see family influenced him musically. Spending days 'diggin' through new tracks and old skool forgotten gems in the local record stores J-Lee became heavily influenced by the early Chicago House, Soul and Funk sounds and maintains there uplifting energy in his music today. With roots in the old school he is able to hit that sweet spot between bass heavy and deep banging tech merging UK flavors, tribal tones and warm grimy bass lines into his music. As a die hard for DJ's that actually mix he believes that "push buttons DJ's that prearrange their mixes or allow a computer to beat match for them are diluting the scene and degrading the integrity of the art form." He is a strong believer that mixing, EQing, and turntabalism need to be maintained through out the music industry as an art form.
