- Twofold is one of the resident DJs at Lux Frágil in Lisbon, whose eclecticism has allowed him to share the booth with such luminaries as Donato Dozzy, Jane Fitz, Marcel Dettmann, Michael Mayer, Luke Vibert, Ben Klock, Arpiar Soundsystem, Solar or Svreca.Twofold is a London-born DJ and producer, currently living in Lisbon, for whom the concept of flat, loop-based, four-to-the-floor dance music is most definitely something to be shunned. Since returning to Portugal in early 2009, his natural eclecticism as a DJ has allowed him to share the booth with such luminaries as Donato Dozzy, Jane Fitz, Solar, Marcel Dettmann, Michael Mayer, Nathan Fake, Luke Vibert, Falty DL, Ben Klock, Artefakt, Arpiar Soundsystem, Jon Hopkins, Job Jobse, Edanticonf, Inigo Kennedy, Evigt Morker, Answer Code Request, Edit Select, Svreca, Mark Henning, Mind Against, Tale Of Us or Nina Kravitz. He has played at all of Portugal’s best clubs including Lux Frágil, Gare and Musicbox and at festivals such as Neopop, Festival Forte, Boom Festival, Rock in Rio, Brunch Electronik and Outjazz. Outside Portugal he has played at Ritterbutzke in Berlin and Vlla in Amsterdam. He kicked off 2014 with an invitation from the Red Bull Music Academy to play at the second edition of Boiler Room in Lisbon. The reaction to his performance was overwhelming, with many people declaring his set as one of the main highlights of the evening. In January of 2015 he was asked to return to the Boiler Room where he played an explosive set with good friend and frequent collaborator Switchdance, immediately followed with a memorable evening at Lux Frágil. In November he joined the Rádio Quântica family with two monthly shows, Ghosting focussed on more organic based forms of Electronica and Reality in Reverse, dedicated to a wide variety of Techno. 2016 brought a slew of invitations to perform at festivals such as Brunch Electronik in Lisbon and a third gig at the Boom Festival (after warmly received performances in 2012 and 2014) along with a host of gigs in Northern Portugal such as Oporto’s Gare and Breyner 85 and his first gig in Coimbra. In 2018 he was invited to join the team of resident DJs at Lisbon nightlife institution Lux Frágil and has been a mainstay ever since.
