- sometimes i make melodies (:Sergio Garcia (UfO) is one of the brightest new talents in the scene quickly making a strong name for himself. In just over a couple years, Sergio has made landmark releases on top end underground labels, standing out amongst a slew of some of the most respected artists around. Furthur Electronix, Altered Sense, Withhold and Nebulae records are just a few of the quality labels he's been a part of already. Sergio labels his music as braindance, electro and IDM. Melody is at the core of everything he does. His background and his involvement now with music is almost as they say "meant to be". Living and growing up in Ibiza, Spain, his style of music is very unique to the scene there. When we asked him what drives his busy music producing, he said "Tomorrow is not granted. I want to live in the moment but also, I want to productive in the moment". He also spoke about his inspiration and how it influences him with "The only way to be inspired is when something strong has happened in my life or something has changed my mood". It is that type of deeper drive that propels his music to a higher meaning. Earlier in his childhood, Sergio enjoyed the more euphoric feelings from his days following the psychedelic trance genre. Now, he has taken that energy and what has been described as melodic electro and IDM while even adding elements of proper synthwave and acid into the equation. This carries over to his DJing style so expect a vibrant and enthusiastic performance with music that traverses the styles winning over crowds regardless of their ardent genre affiliations. Back on the release side of things, the near future has many exciting things lined up. Most anticipated is his second full album 'You Will Shine' which is his most personal piece yet he says. Also, an exciting and well-rumored collaboration with Sound Synthesis (Keith Farrugia) is on the docket. A return EP to new a Furthur Electronix side label is coming in the future too.
