For over 20 years, UFO has performed in Europe. Teacher in the electronic music in the company Art & Technik composer in different labels. In addition to his mysterious name UFO, he frequently uses a few pseudonyms, and some might now him under the name of Oscar Lambretta, name under which he recently remixed “Piece By piece” of Clément Meyer (Get The Curse) signed on Family Name, a label from the name of the annual festival in the Lille region. UFO is not only present in this region of the North, he also organised some parties at Le Nouveau Casino, in Paris, with his crew MINIMAL1ST (James Bacon & UFO), which allowed him to share the turntables with Laurent Garnier, Marco Carola, Carl Craig… Since 2011, he has created his own label music of techno with James Bacon & Armando Martins. After the 1rst release, they enter in the Top 100 of Beatport with remixers like Audio-Injection, Alejandro Trebor, MADA, Plankton. UFO is studying Sound Engineering at SAE Institute – Paris, which naturally led him to producing, but again everything is kind of secret with some tracks and remixes that he keeps locked for himself, for now… To understand his music and how it sounds, we have to look a few years backward. It’s at the end of the 80’s, along with electronic music, that his first turntable experience see the light. At this time, the only techno movement is the rave party movement. He organizes some in the region or Lille in the mid 90’s and we understand better with this kind of culture how he built the image of UFO, with his productions and of course the mix which is an “oldschool” techno one, very groovy, very underground and very well organised and mastered.
