- …as the best of surgeons, UMHO has that extraordinary ability to diagnose the dance floor and embalm it of the necessary groove so as to make all those present elated when they recall the previous morning, afternoon or night experienced...Umho´s Bio Those lucky ones who appreciate the technique and the capacity of overlapping frequencies of vinyls records with a strong Latin sound (although unexpectedly, UMHO can throw a New Wave or 70´s or 80´s Pop bomb track), marinated with multiple influences from Disco, Funk, Folklore, BreakBeat, Rap from the late 80's and early 90's, Techno, House and salsa, will not only notice when the stealthy José Luis Órdenes (1972) AKA UMHO seizes a booth, they will also seriously compromise their intentions to stay off the dance floor. Acclaimed as one of the best DJs of the Chilean and Latin American electronic scene, UMHO started mixing more than 30 years ago, and specifically this gender, for more than 20 years, at the first open raves produced in Chile. From then on, thousands of people have dance to his rhythm at festivals like Love Parade, Creamfields, Sundeck, and Piknic Electronik, to mention some. In his words: "I want people to have fun by means of joyful music, my ultimate goal is to seek joy"… Joy and groove which he began to deliver in 2004 as resident in the legendary Club “La Feria” in Santiago (Chile), and accompanied by DJs, like Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Richie Hawtin, among many others. UMHO, not only seeks party participants to forget it all and become astonished like children with music," he shared this unique energy in 2009 among the most important clubs in Europe (such as Rex, Concrete, Cocorico, Amnesia and Privilege, just to name a few), consolidating his international career by playing in countries like France, Italy, Spain, Germany ("New Kids on Acid" in Watergate, 2015, "UnDroid" in Club der Visionäere) and Switzerland. Naturally, after his successful experience in European lands, he has been highly valued by the most important clubs in the Latin American electronic scene, such as the emblematic Phonotheque (Uruguay), The Bow (Argentina) and The Edge (Brazil), besides being the official resident of important cult parties and electronic events in Santiago (Chile) picknic ,sundeck ,Timewarp.cl Lunatica.entre otros. Along with the closure of a successful 2015, in 2016 José Luis was again invited by Ricardo Villalobos to a new tour in Europe, this time as Villalobos’ official “warmuper” during the whole month of the tour. With its magic and Latin style, UMHO in a matter of seconds, re-delighted audiences in countries like Italy(NicetoBe) and Switzerland, but this new tour also allowed him the conquest of new festivals and clubs in Holland (HYTE X FUSE, Amsterdam), England (Zutekh, Manchester), Austria (Turbo), Sweden (Into the Valley), Poland (1500m2) and Kosovo (Zone Club). And as if 2016 had not already been the most successful year for UMHO in terms of musical performances and recognition, it was Drumma Records the label that in December launches "Melo de Melo", a vinyl produced between Villalobos and UMHO. With their track called "Por Suerte", they earned excellent reviews of specialized international media like DjMag, Crack Magazine and MixMag, among many others, besides being categorized as No. 1 in DJs OCTOBER 2016 Charts by Resident Advisor. Playing in so many interesting places around the world and the fact of sharing the stage with some of his most talented and important friends and producers like Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Monjeear, Raresh, Thomas Franzmann a.k.a Zip, Dj Koze, Luciano, Dj Koolt, Vivanco and Nima Gorji, among many others, has been considered by José Luis as a great prize for his career: "I am in love with music. It has given me overwhelming satisfaction. That’s why I have the mission to keep people happy and give joy back to them, because music has given me that in abundance. Consagrado como uno de los mejores Djs de la escena electrónica Chilena y Latinoamericana, UMHO comenzó a mezclar hace más de 30 años y, específicamente este tipo de música, hace ya casi 20, en los primeros Open Raves producidos en Chile, para luego hacer bailar a miles de personas en festivales como Love Parade, Creamfields, Sundeck y muchos más. Y es que como el mejor de los cirujanos, Umho tiene esa gran capacidad de diagnosticar la pista de baile y embalsamarla del groove necesario para que todos los presentes estén felices y recuerden como un gran momento lo vivido la mañana, tarde o noche anterior. En sus palabras: “Quiero que la gente lo pase bien a través de música alegre, mi máximo objetivo es buscar la alegría”. Alegría y groove que en 2004 comenzó a entregar como residente en el legendario Club La Feria de Santiago (Chile), acompañado de importantes Djs, como Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano y Richie Hawtin, entre muchos otros. UMHO, que además de buscar que los participantes de una fiesta “se olviden de todo y se asombren como niños con la música”, repartió esa energía tan única el 2009 por los clubes más importantes de Europa (como Rex, Concrete, Cocorico, Amnesia y Privilege, solo por nombrar algunos), consolidando su carrera internacional al tocar en países como Francia, Italia, España, Alemania (“New Kids on Acid” en Watergate, 2015, “UnDroid”, en Club der Visionäere) y Suiza. Naturalmente después de su exitosa experiencia en tierras europeas, ha sido sumamente cotizado por los clubes más importantes de la escena electrónica de América Latina como el emblemático Phonotheque (Uruguay), The Bow (Argentina) y The Edge (Brasil), además de ser residente oficial de importantes fiestas de culto y eventos electrónicos en (Chile) . Cerrando así un exitoso año 2015, en 2016 UMHO es invitado por Ricardo Villalobos a un nuevo tour por el viejo continente, esta vez junto al mismo Villalobos quien le pidió fuera su warmuper oficial durante todo el mes que duraría la gira (febrero-marzo). Con su magia y sello Latino, UMHO en cosa de segundos re deleitaba a algunas audiencias en países como Italia y Suiza, pero este nuevo tour le permitió también ir a la conquista de nuevos festivales y clubes en Holanda (HYTE X FUSE, Amsterdam), Inglaterra (Zutekh, Manchester), Austria (Turbo), Suecia (Into the Valley), Polonia (1500m2) y Kosovo (Zone Club). Y en caso de que el 2016 no hubiese sido ya el año más exitoso de UMHO en cuanto a presentaciones musicales y consagración a nivel internacional, fue el sello Drumma Records el que en diciembre lanza “Melo de Melo”, vinilo producido entre Villalobos y UMHO que con su track conjunto llamado “Por Suerte”, ganó excelentes reseñas de medios internacionales como DjMag, Crack Magazine y MixMag, entre muchos otros, además de ser catalogado como el N°1 en los Charts de los Djs en octubre de 2016 en Resident Advisor. Tocar en tantos lugares interesantes por el mundo y compartir escenario con algunos de sus amigos y productores más talentosos e importantes de la escena como Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Monjeear, Raresh, Thomas Franzmann a.k.a Zip, Dj Koze, Luciano, Dj Koolt, Vivanco, Nima Gorji, entre tantos otros, UMHO lo considera un gran premio para su carrera: “Yo estoy enamorado de la música.
