- DJ/Producer/Promoter/Designer/SleepyheadArtist Bio: Vic Flairs’s musical journey started at the age of 11 playing the drums every Sunday at a local church in rural New Mexico for 4 years as part of the local praise and worship team. By age 16 he had successfully sneaked out of his parents home to attend underground warehouse and desert raves in El Paso, Texas where he encountered like-minded individuals of equivalent musical aptitude. It is at this time that he, along with some of the same eager electronic music aficionados, founded the True Vibe Tribe and took it upon himself to spin only the rawest drum and bass around. True Vibe Tribe’s renegade parties have offered him not only a stage to display his impeccable timing and rhythm as well as a knack for beat matching diverse genres within a single set... but also his graphic art efforts in the form of rave flyers, a skill that has allowed him to fund his craft and lead him to perform alongside legendary locals from Baltimore, Maryland to Eugene, Oregon as well as his hometown of Juarez, Mexico while also sharing the billing with renown acts such as Habersham (Chi Recordings/Lobotomy Records), Bill Patrick (Private Stock/ Robots, NYC) and DJ QBert (Invsbl Skrtch Pkls) DirtyFun (Las Vegas, NV), Fulbset (Pitssburgh, PA) as well as headlining the yearly Northwest festival Where Life Begins in 2006, and playing at Full Moon Festival BLOOD MOON 2019, AUDIOBEND FESTIVAL 2019 and 2021,Melrose House Live 2021, Rumble Drum & Bass @ Monarch Theatre 2019, and B!tch Its My House 2019, and 2021. Musical Influences: LCD Soundsystem, Siriusmo, Sneaker Pimps, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Boards of Canada, Jeru the Damaga, DJ Shadow, Nick Warren, Mark Farina, The Jam, New Order/Joy Division, Circle Jerks, The Adolescents, Lee Burridge, Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y, DJ Hell, Derrick Carter, Lord Finesse, Beck, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Mr. Dibbs, Prefuse 73, Flying Lotus, Swollen Members, Invsbl Scratch Piklz, Oingo Boingo and Devo. Current Dedications: Vic Flairs currently owns and produces for Nobody Imprint Records, a netlabel started in 2015 and has relocated to the Phoenix, Arizona where his DJ sets have evolved from playing strictly vinyl to controlling clips and tracks using Ableton Live as well as midi controllers Novation Launchpad Mini, Novation Launch Control, Arturia Beatstep, and a Numark PT-01 for turntablism tricks. Make sure to catch his live and dynamic sets. He has teamed up with DJ F/\IRYDVST as part of F/\IRYTALE PRODUCTIONS to provide quality underground events in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
