Biografía

  • Paolo Visnadi (Venice, 1970) first became interested in music at the tender age of 5 years.... -----------------------
He grew up studying classical pianoforte, which enriched his talent and strong vocation for musical production. Paolo’s extrovert personality, marked by passion and driven by great curiosity, was at the beginning of the contact with a music genre that he felt represented himself - house music. In 1988 he realised his first productions for Interdance Records. From this moment on his passion and enthusiasm for underground dance music was born and matured, a passion that emerged in the early ’90’s in a synergy and profitable collaboration with his older brother Gianni Visnadi. Together, in just a short time, they were to achieve surprising results. In 1993 the two brothers worked in England as dance music composers, which gave life to their first big success in Italy with the project Livin’ Joy. The first single is “Dreamer” with MCA Records, where they use the female voice of Janice Robinson. The single soon reaches the top of the national and international charts, achieving, in particular, the number one position in both the English and US charts. The duo continue their rise with a new singer, Doris Diggs, known also as Tameka Starr, and in 1996 they release the single “Don’t Stop Movin’ ” from the album of the same name released a few months after. With this single they reach a chart position of number 8 both in Italy and Sweden and even higher in Finland and Austria, reaching the chart position 7 and 6 respectively. In the same year, the single “Follow The Rules” arrives with excellent results in the English chart. Livin' Joy arrives in 1999 with “Where Can I Find Love”, “Deep In You”, “Just For The Sex Of It”. At the same time as Livin' Joy, the brothers begin their collaboration with the prestigious UMM record label (Underground Music Movement), becoming members of the electronic dance music group Alex Party, which also included the singer Robin “Shamie” Campbell. In 1993 immediate success arrives with the group’s first single "Saturday Night Party (Read My Lips)” which becomes an Ibiza anthem in that summer, and enters in the top 40 hit parade in England reaching number 29 in the charts. In 1994, with the entrance of Shamie Campell into the group, they publish the single "Don't Give Your Life”. The single reaches number 2 in the charts in both Ireland and England (their highest chart hit in these countries) and number 13 in Australia. The hit dominates the Club Record category at the 1995 Music Week’s Awards. It is also included in many party compilations around the world and remains their most famous hit. Alex Party continues to have notable success, and on the wave of “Give Me Your Life”, "Wrap Me Up” is released in 1995 which has great results in the UK and Australia. Between 1995 and 1996 they become part of the Italian dance music project X-Static. The first really successful single is "I'm Standing”, sung by DJ Cristina Dani of Radio Company (Padua), that soon after the release in July 1994 is big hit in the discos thanks also to the innovative and extraordinary remix by the Visnadi brothers (Heavy Organ Mix) destined to become emblematic in this music genre. The project has great results in Italy with "Move Me Up” and immediately reaches number 7 in the Italian charts in the winter of 1996, becoming constantly programmed by radio specialising in the genre and in the discos. The X-Static tracks are included in numerous dance compilations. The collaboration with UMM continues with the creation of the C*Y*B techno project where, between 1996 and 1997, Visnadi produces remixes of many artists such as Carol Bayley (Fever, I Got You Under My Skin), Jimmy Cliff (Breakout), Clubhands (Live Your Life), Juice T (Love You For Life), Charlie Dore (Time Goes By). In 1996, and as part of the same project, "I Love You Darling” is released in collaboration with DJ and producer Ottomix, who Gianni Visadi had already met in 1983. On that occasion the first record of Ottomix, Discomagic "Sahara Sand” was produced, featuring George Aaron on vocals. The characteristics of the track, starting from the very particular groove sound, form the basis of the successive track "How Gee" (Black Machine The Album), that in 1991 had been made famous to the wider public by Ottorino Menardi, under the name of Ottomix. Again with Ottomix, in 1991 Gianni and Paolo publish Technicida Vol.1 and Technicida Vol.2 for the Flying Records label. The continuing research of Paolo, united with the experience of his older brother, render both of them visionaries of Italian underground house music. Already in the early 90’s, the two artists experiment with their imagination in the “Visnadi” project with the release for UMM, in 1991, of the EP "No Future No Past”, with dreamlike and bewitching sounds that take you with elegance and delicacy into the electronic underground of Visnadi. The project is rich with passion, creativity and develops again in 1992 with the EP "Four Journeys”, four real journeys all different in their individual paths, but bound by a strong harmony that unites the expressive needs of the brothers. The creative fermentation of Paolo is unstoppable and in 1993, again with the Visnadi project, he produces "Racing Tracks”, a surprisingly current and exclusively original track, so much so that in April 2013 the DJ and producer Maceo Plex, produces a new, more aggressive version, that manages to leave absolutely intact both the idea and the soul of the original. In order to freely express his vision of underground music, in 1992 Paolo creates TKN, a personal record label, where he is able to realise highly experimental projects, possibly less than others but of undoubtable quality. The EP “The Press” represents in 5 tracks Paolo’s connection to electronic underground music. This latest stimulating experience brings Paolo and Gianni to the most significant event of 1993: the exclusive live, all-experimental performance at the prestigious London underground club, Ministry of Sound. In 1995 the brothers remix one of the most famous songs of Adriano Celentano, “Prisencolinensinainciusol”. The remix reflects the spirit and structure of the original, with a deeper new sound and energy. During the 1990’s, Paolo is frequently guest DJ at the historic club Area City in Veneto. The artistic career sees a break during which Paolo marries and has a son, dedicating time to his new family to which he is closely bonded. House Hystory is Back!
