  • started a couple of parties. pretty into riffs, hooks, the song, but also the tracckkkkkk. let's call it a commitment to maximalism. head honcho of aussie technoxtcnrg juggernaut Motorik!
record selector and party person - started oddball party "disco not disco" in the basement of the oxford hotel for a few people - played with in flagranti, rub n tug etc. somehow became a resident at debauched kings cross blowout "lost baggage", played for some more people - got to share the decks with claude von stroke, dj hell and a few others. somewhere along the line, threw a party with a guy called mike simonetti, which went pretty well, and got the idea to do more disco parties - and so became Picnic, which hosted some of the maddest of that lot - the revenge, metro area, horse meat disco, greg wilson, optimo - after which it was apparent that genre was merely a piece of tissue paper over the tweeter. quit dance music to live in the country, and handed the picnic basket to kali. after the country got boring, unexpectedly, a period of consolidation and boredom saw him phone up the santamaria brothers - who had just broken up their band, the valentinos - and ended up throwing hands over cumbia beats. a chance encounter with electro refugees angus gruzman (dreems) and francis xavier (infusion) over dinner resulted in the idea to do a party called motorik! this later turned into a thing. gessaffelstein, brodinski, daniel avery, jimmy edgar, LNTG, bicep, mall grab, anna, flight facilities, and many more over 10 years, 80 parties, 2 festivals and 40 records later, a few world tours, residencies and regular guest spots at nice places like revolver, elsewhere, the marrickville bowlo and anywhere really. somehow, there is a motorik store, art gallery and music studios too.wow. hosts friday sunset on fbi radio 94.5. lives life by ted albert's maxim: "it's all about the song".
