- Watashi is an Indian DJ and producer from Bangalore, pushing the sounds of underground DnB, Techno and breaks,With a penchant towards creating dark soundscapes and influences varying from punk-rock, metal to the UK underground, Watashi is treading the grey area between drumnbass, techno and breaks. Purveyor of dark atmospheres and rattling breaks, his sets are not bound by genre limitations and emphasize deeply on the importance of storytelling. His music has been released on international labels like XCPT from Italy and Hyperactivity from France, and also Indian labels Regenerate Music and Krunk Kulture. Fresh off his debut album “Euthanasia Coaster” released in February, 2022 on Regenerate Music which garnered a lot of critical acclaim both internationally and locally, a concept album in his signature style telling a melancholic story with a twist. He hosted a radio show residency for more than a year at Boxout.FM during which his show "In Limbo" championed the dark industrial sounds on the airwaves. His music has been played at international radio stations like BBC Asian Network, Noods, Rinse.fm and included in sets at Trax Magazine.
