Originally from a small town near Brighton, DJ / Producer Webby started mixing vinyl as a teenager back in the late 90s, immediately being drawn to the darker, more underground sounds of electronic music. His style reaches right across the board with what he describes as “Dark bouncy” Techno,Minimal and Tech House, and is very much influenced by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Dubfire, and Gaiser to name a few. Over the last 6 years he has placed a lot of focus on progressing his music to new heights after being introduced to good friend co-producer, Mark Ramsey (aka Mark D Funktion).Having spent many seasons working in Ibiza, 2009 saw Webby realising his first significant milestone by playing at the Island’s most iconic beach club, Bora Bora. In september 2010 Webby made his debut playing for Departure (now relocated to Sankeys in Playa D’En Bossa) in the Coco Loco room at Privilege (Worlds Biggest Nightclub). The 2012 season in Ibiza saw Webby performing a monthly residency (along with co-producer Mark Ramsey) with a Whampt Recordings party at hotel Es Vive, culminating in Webby playing the Closing Party for Carl Cox – The Revolution @ Space, Ibiza along with a string of A-League names on the line up consisting of Carl Cox, Loco Dice, tINI, DJ Sneak, Yousef, Jon Rundell, and many more. Back in the UK, and Webby ended the year performing at the Spectrum Festival in Southend on New Years Eve, lining up with Nina Kraviz and Eats Everything.Summer 2013, and Webby held down a residency for Kehakuma and yet again featuring at Carl Cox’s massive ‘Revolution’ parties – both weekly at Space, Ibiza. Now firmley established on the Island Webby now holds down a new residency at Sankeys ibiza for both Magna Carta and Viva Warriors/Capadi rebels. On the production front, Webby’s first EP came with a collaboration with co-producer Mark which resulted in their 3 track EP ‘Office Box’, ‘My Roland’ and ‘Revolution’ being signed to dutch powerhouse label Area Remote, the vinyl / digital download release subsequently being played and supported by Dubfire, Davide Squillace, Seth Troxler, Paco Osuna, Luciano, Mendo, Karrote, Barem, Joris Voorn, 2000 and One, Nic Fanciulli, Coyu, and more. With a plethora of other productions in the pipeline, added to a host of forthcoming DJ bookings across Europe and America, it is safe to say the sky is the limit for this rising talent.
