  • Kicking off 2018 with a clam-packed night of four incredible selectors at the Stud!!! We clamn’t hardly wait! ▶︎▶︎Anastasia Kristensen is an uncompromising force of nature that shifts sounds and tempos at a moment's notice - providing a whirlwind of emboldened intensity that can be felt equally through her productions and DJ sets. Always the adventurer, the Copenhagen-via-Moscow producer has been at it for a while -- finding inspirations from the likes of ballet to effusively digging for records to satisfy her curiosity. With her track "Spring Ballade" released on Nous Disques in 2016 and previous work with BLD and Monasterio, she only sought to move forward and carve out a path that would only broaden the scope for her reach as time goes on. It begins with her DJ sets - Kristensen starts with tone as the foundation; she weaves a web that incorporates barreling breaks, blistering techno and buoyant electro in scintillating fashion - inviting listeners to be curious about which strand she'll weave with each passing track she plays. With featured mixes on Mixmag and Red Bull, as well as releases forthcoming in the year, Anastasia is determined to take even bigger chances and leap further into the sonic spectrum of underground music - by never staying in one lane. ▶︎▶︎Christina Chatfield is a San Francisco-based producer, live performer, and resident for As You Like It. She is an avid user of both hardware and software in the studio. Chatfield continues to earn praise for her productions and live sets that move fluidly between techno and house — but always with a healthy dose of acid. Her latest EP “The Circle,” is out now on Chicago’s God Particle Records. ▶︎▶︎Qzen is a native San Franciscan now based in Berlin. Aside from DJing, she’s a vocalist and has collaborated with John Tejada, Dave Aju, and Sacha Robotti. She has a sincere love for music that’s emotive, sophisticated, bass conscious, and tends to both one’s body and mind. With deep roots in drum and bass, her sets most often span the genres of house and bass music, dipping into breakbeat and techno, though she really doesn’t mind what it’s called; if it’s good, she’ll play it. ▶︎▶︎Experimental Housewife is exactly what you'd think: an experimental DJ and producer. With an impeccable taste in house, deep house, and techno classics, ExHouse often slices through all genres with her hard techno and noise side. Also a drummer and professor, ExHouse is moreover a longstanding collector -- and selector -- of electronic music. Her sets are bizarre treats replete with force and nostalgic layers. Whether you're in for a gnarly set or something eclectic and narrational, you can always sense her percussionist mind, academic technique, and house music heart. ▶︎Discount advance tickets now on sale.
