Lost Sundays ~ Aug 21 w. Lex & Aroha

  • It’s about movement. A movement. Our movement. ~~ The LS movement continues this Sunday, August 21 with twin Tasman talents Lex and Aroha taking charge. Australia’s Lex - formally Lex Deluxe - has built an exceptional reputation throughout the country. Tapped as the main support for Peggy Gou’s recent Australia tour, Lex’s selections traverse all things rhythm; her wide ranging palette ever-danceable yet difficult to define. In the wake of the release of her debut EP ‘Ex Ex’ (out now via Eora’s Gallery Recordings), Lex might have dropped the ‘deluxe’ but still stands for all things quality. Aotearoa-born, Naarm-based Kiwi Aroha has played a formidable role in championing electronic music in her native New Zealand. An industry veteran, Aroha has had the honour of being named ‘New Zealand’s Best Club DJ’ and is the ex-prime-time host of renowned NZ electronic station, George FM. In the studio, Aroha’s output explores the experimental edges of house, bass and post-dubstep; while in the booth the focus is on making you move. Support for Lex and Aroha includes Low~D, Pog and Casey b2b Eddy Diamond. Tickets are on sale now. All Lost Sundays tickets include an hour of complimentary drinks for all guests during ‘Lost Hour’, 3-4pm every Sunday. ~~ Lost Sundays ~ Aug 21 from 3pm-11pm • Aroha • Casey b2b Eddy Diamond • Lex • Low~d • Pog From the people behind the Lost Paradise Festival and Paradise Club nights comes Lost Sundays - an expression of rhythm and dance, each and every Sunday afternoon at the recently transformed ivy.
