  • ******** FORREST AVERY - Portland, OR ******** Labels - OM, Guesthouse, Flapjack, Greenhouse, Serial Sickness, Market House Meats, Juiced, and Kinjo. Promo mix link: http://www.undergroundhouse.net/mixes/listen.php?NoIncrement=1&ID=1858 Bio: Forrest Avery has been an established Dj in the North West scene for over a decade. Constantly evolving as an artist he has thrown down almost every style of music there is. He has spent time rocking out classic house, techno, and breaks at Rave events in the 90. He was even known for the odd set of Drum & Bass, and Trip-Hop in the side room. Eventually establishing himself as a well known downtempo/trip-hop Dj in the North West he found himself moving into the club scene, and developing his skills as a mash-up turntablist, playing everything from classic funk, soul r&b to rock, blues, and mixing it up with current electronic beats. Around 2005 he was drawn full swing back into the House scene after hearing some of the new school style prodution being pushed by established labels like Spatula City, and Guesthous, as well as a slew of new up and coming labels. With renewed enthusiasm, he started putting together mixes, and playing sets that incorporated his years of experience with turntablism as well as his refined taste for all things funky, with the new school jackin house sound of now. Teaming up with old friends from his youth, he began promoting one off events, and club nights that featured this sound. Over the next few years, they would further develop the dance scene of the North West into a thriving following of house heads eager to get their groove on. In 2008 he picked up the producers cap. Starting with his first releases that were signed to the well established Seattle founded label Market House Meats, and the new fledgling Portland based label Bridge City, he was soon picked up for remix work on other established House labels. Since then, he has gone on to sign releases, and do remix work for some of the most well known labels in the scene including GuestHouse, Flapjack, Greenhouse, and OM Records. He soon decided it was time start his own label with the goal of showcasing the talent of the North West scene, and bringing it together with production scenes around the world. Before the year was done, Serial Sickness was launched as a digital label, and has been steadily establishing itself as a regular name in the crates of Djs from every corner of the planet. On top of all that, Forrest still continues to regularly perform as a DJ, rocking spots from coast to coast in the US, as well as beyond. When asked what kind of house he plays, the standard reply would be "I don't know, but it's got to be funky". ******** REAL TIME HAND MOTION (RTHM) - Nashville, TN ******** Labels - Knocturnal Emissions, Flapjack, Oomph, Spatula City, Control, Kolour, Market House Meats, Lingo, Guesthouse, Guess Who RTHM bio - Real Time Hand Motion is the production / live performance / DJ duo, Busy and Crux. DJ Jung began his love affair with the beat at a very young age. Coming from a musical family, it came naturally that at age 11 he picked up the bass guitar and never looked back. Spending his teenage years touring all around the southeast found that in ’98, he was without a band and searching for inspiration. This is where his exposure to a single club night left him taken aback by the energy of the music, the sense of community, and the interaction between DJ and dancefloor. This is where his obsession began. He has spent the years since perfecting his sound. Currently he is playing a unique blend of sexy, rhythmic, techy funk house layered over dirty progressive bass. Some of his early inspiration came from greats such as Tiga, Hardkiss brothers, Mark Farina, and the ol’ B96 mix tapes. ******** BROCKTOLOGIST - Paris, KY ******** Currently hailing from horse country USA, Brocktologist, for the past decade, has been making his name known across the country and internationally, as a DJ, as well as for his live chops in side projects Much Is Given, Dinosaurs and Disasters, B.
