Planningtorock, Ron Morelli and Auntie Flo are also on board for the birthday party at Corsica Studios on December 1st.
Huntleys & Palmers Audio Club will ring in their fifth anniversary at London's Corsica Studios on December 1st.
The promoters have quite a lot to celebrate. Working primarily in Glasgow and London, H&P has spent the last five years bringing a lot of sounds under one umbrella, from foundational figures (Daniele Baldelli, Silver Apples) to leading lights from the underground (Actress, Levon Vincent, Julio Bashmore). In addition to throwing parties, H&P started releasing music last year, with Glasgow's Auntie Flo (resident of the Highlife party at Sub Club) helming the first few releases.
The birthday party's headliner has already played at an H&P event, but that doesn't make the booking any less eye-catching: the elusive Olof Dreijer will play live as Oni Ayhun. DFA artist Planningtorock, who collaborated with Dreijer's group The Knife on an opera in 2010, will DJ, as will New York-based L.I.E.S. boss Ron Morelli. H&P favorites and affiliates will round out the night, namely Auntie Flo and SOPHIE, London-based Soundway Records signee DrumTalk, Salon des Amateurs resident Lena Wilikens, Berlin-based live performer RROXYMORE and the duo Latete Atoto.
Tickets for the event are available here on RA.
