  • Josh Cheon is opening a bricks-and-mortar record shop in San Francisco called Dark Entries. Cheon, who founded the Dark Entries label in 2009, confirmed the news via Instagram yesterday, November 25th. He gave special thanks to New York-based DJ Mike Servito "for pushing me to make this dream a reality." Located at 910 Larkin Street, the store will open on Saturday, December 10th, with a party featuring Carlos Souffront, Topazu and Jeremy Castillo on the decks from 6 PM through 9 PM. The label, which has put out around 300 records, was founded on a desire to reissue unreleased or out-of-print gems from the '80s, as well as contemporary music. (The name comes from a 1980 song by British goth band Bauhaus.) 2022 releases include Patrick Cowley, Bèzier and Forbidden Overture.
