  • Revered techno group Sandwell District are re-releasing their seminal 2010 album, Feed-Forward. Out through The Point Of Departure Recording Company on July 28th, the triple-vinyl release will be the first time the LP has been repressed. It will also be available digitally for the first time. A previously unreleased track, "Surrender to the Unknown," features alongside ten original cuts. Originally a label, Sandwell District was founded by Peter Sutton (AKA Female) and Karl O'Connor (AKA Regis) in 2002. They eventually teamed up with David Sumner (Function) and Juan Mendez (Silent Servant) to form a collective. Despite only releasing one album before disbanding, they're considered among the most influential techno acts of the past 20 years. To accompany the reissue, Sandwell District are playing live again, with festival slots at rural in Japan and Draaimolen in the Netherlands this summer. More are TBA. Listen to "Surrender to the Unknown," and revisit Sandwell District's RA Podcast from 2009.
