  • Bleep43 showcases the best in underground electronic music in all its forms, with an extensive run of small intimate parties since 2002. Starting in Shoreditch’s notorious Public Life, Actress, Mira Calix, Dan Bell and Mike Grant among others played alongside local DJ and live talent. In 2006 Bleep43 moved to Corsica Studios as their crowd of appreciative, knowledgeable and friendly music lovers grew. A series of highly influential parties followed, that continued to champion an open, inquisitive approach to electronic genres. As well as presenting UK debut performances from Convextion, Hieroglyphic Being and Donato Dozzy, their events saw repeat appearances from Surgeon, Legowelt, DJ Stingray, Omar S and Patrice Scott, as well as iconic sets from Scorn, Pole, I-F, Newworldaquarium and Intergalactic Gary. 2015 saw Bleep43 start a series of seated or lying down events dedicated to deep listening, in keeping with their ethos of providing a platform for artists to play sets outside the parameters of a conventional clubbing environment. The events were set in a number of unusual venues, ranging from The Southbank Centre and Glasgow’s Art School through to Bristol’s Cube Cinema, 18th century church crypts, former bath houses and tunnels under the Thames. Bleep43 continued its focus on presenting artists in the UK for the first time, with debut shows from Sarah Davachi, Jonathan Fitoussi, Bana Haffar and The Transcendence Orchestra. Their focus on immersive listening environments continues to this day, with events that invite the audience to inspiring venues where they can lie down on mats and lose themselves in performances on high fidelity surround sound systems. Recent events have featured performances from Imaginary Softwoods, Ana Quiroga, Datassette and Loula Yorke, as well as sets from Bleep43 crew members Jo Johnson, Bea Brennan and Plant43.
