COLOURSOUND SEASON 1
Coloursound is a bold new club brand born from the minds of 4 Leeds and Manchester talents that have been putting on huge parties around the UK and Europe for the past 10 years.
The clever concept of the season is to host a number of parties in venues like The Warehouse, Soundcontrol, Stylus, Wire, Nation of Shopkeepers, Joshua Brooks as well as bespoke places like tunnels, warehouses and other spaces around the north of England, with event capacities ranging from cosy at 200 to vast at 2000. It will mean there will be a party for everyone, from those who like sweaty basements right up to those who prefer huge derelict old buildings for some original acid house vibes.
The idea surfaced a year ago, with the last few months seeing the final touches being put to plans for the end of 2011. A programme of 7-10 events is in place between Oct and Dec of this year, with a second season for January to April 2012 (already all but signed and sealed) before expanding to 15 events in season 3. DJs appearing will include the likes of Trentemoller, Reboot, DJ Fresh LIVE, Argy, Stacy Pullen, Kevin Saunderson Heidi, Fred P, Lee Foss, Maayan Nidam, The Magician, Tiefschwarz and Derrick May.
The aim will be to curate an eclectic mix of events that encompasses everything that is good about house, techno, D&B, disco, electro, dubstep and more alt electronic sounds with some impressive live acts dotted in amongst it all. The headliners will be known names and adored brands from right across the electronic spectrum. Once established as a leading brand, the plan is for a 10, 000 capacity festival in the North of England during summer 2013 which will bring together all the best parts of the dance festival circuit together in one place.
