In September 2015, as the number of people displaced from their homes by conflict and persecution reached 60 million worldwide, a few of us promoters in London did what we knew how to do best and put on a party with the aim of raising some funds and collecting supplies to help those in need.
Since then, we have continued to collaborate, bringing dancers and their favourite venues and DJs together in aid of the charities we most admire, doing vital work in the face of the biggest humanitarian crisis of our generation.
In nearly three years, DFR has raised more than £20,000 for charities such as Refugees at Home, War Child and Help Refugees. For the August 3rd party at Five Miles, 100 percent of profits will be donated to Human Needs Development.
Raising money for Help Refugees, Dance For Refuge and Choose Love have teamed up to bring together a musically fresh and fun lineup. Don't miss local DJ and Field Maneuvres resident iona, whose style spans everything from chuggy Italo, to bouncing house and slamming electro.
