- Sophie festival was born from the concern and commitment of different producers, event promoters and label managers based in Malaga, to share all the musical knowledge accumulated over decades and that transcended beyond the more mainstream and / or underground electronic music proposals offered so far in the city. From their own experience discovering sounds and styles of music, meeting genuine electronic music creators from different cultures, analysing infinite clubbing experiences and the trends of festivals around the world, Sophie Festival was born, with the aim of promoting a unique event to turn Malaga into one of the capitals of reference in the electronic music circuit worldwide. What are the main goals? The first is that the local community can access and discover everything they have learned, everything they have experienced, giving them the chance to travel the world through music. The second is to promote a change in social perception, transforming stereotypes and positioning the value that electronic music brings as a cultural proposal and economic dynamiser, as has been demonstrated over time in the main European and Spanish capitals. Malaga as a cultural reference and main enclave in the international music industry circuit. Thirdly, to inspire future generations in active listening, constant learning and love for quality music. And finally, to promote a space where diversity, respect and the enjoyment of music and digital art in community inspire current and future generations to share values and to live together with love and a more open and tolerant mentality, giving a real opportunity to alternative cultures, which are what really help to develop the collective conscience and the artistic scene of a city.
