From its genesis as a Sunday all-dayer in 1994, The Big Chill has established its reputation as one of the most innovative festivals, outgrowing several sites to end up at home in the Malvern Hills. The beautiful Eastnor Castle Deer Park is now home to Big Chill each summer, having grown largely through word-of-mouth and a passionate appreciation of the unique atmosphere at The Big Chill. After joining the Festival Republic family at the end of 2009, the festival has continued to grow, combining the innovative programming and unique content that the festival is renowned for with the added expertise of the UK’s premier music promoter making it bigger, better and more fantastic than ever. Previous headliners have included Massive Attack, M.I.A and Lily Allen, which reflects the eclectic and rich tastes of the audience and the festival remains committed to showcasing the very best in music from across the globe and countless genres with performances from superstars and rising stars alike. Alongside the diverse music programme, The Big Chill also has a strong focus on the arts with The Chapman Brothers, Spencer Tunick and Gavin Turk previously displaying their work at the festival, as well as an inspiring line-up of comedy, cinema and cabaret, which continues to grow year on year. It is the mix of 200 music, arts and cabaret acts and the many other-worldly happenings that ensure that all Chillers leave with fantastic memories.
