Club Night Club is an events series and record label based in Brooklyn, New York established in 2019.
Created with the intention of showcasing a specific sound felt to have been historically underrepresented within NYC nightlife, a core tenet of the organization revolves around bringing international guests to the city to showcase their talents. Since its inception Club Night Club has platformed over fifty artists, primarily hosting international acts alongside local innovators. No small feat for an entirely independent, artist led collective.
A core belief of CNC is that dance music is inherently tied to the physical space in which it is both performed and consumed. As such, the founders believe that providing a variety of listening environments through a regular alternation of venues and locations is paramount to encouraging engagement with the music. In a landscape of high-investment, large-capital nightclubs, the organization seeks to provide an experience that is often difficult to find within modern day New York City. One in which an element of mystery comes along with the music, where the attendee enlists for a degree of surprise alongside the music.
In showcasing music indebted to and stemming from sound system culture, the quality of sound itself has always been a key priority of CNC. Over the years their system has grown in scale and operation, with the original configuration put together by Techno veteran DVS1. Production value is integral to the CNC modus operandi.
In 2020 Club Night Club began to release music as a label alongside the events series. The goal to distribute music that mirrors the sonic palette and creative ethos of the collective.
